Even if you are not in the ‘natural deodorant club’ already, it’s always fun to try new things, right? Especially things that you can make at home and won’t cost you the earth. Most of the ingredients required you probably have in your kitchen cupboard, so even if you decide that going natural is not for you at least you won’t waste a lot of money. And we don’t like waste, so here we go!

To make 50g of natural deodorant (fits in a 60ml jar) you will need:
- Corn starch 17.5g
- Coconut Oil 14.5g
- Shea Butter 12.5g
- Candelilla Wax 2.5g (you can also use soy wax or bees wax, if you’re not a vegan, but just make sure you add double this amount)
- Sodium Bicarbonate 2.5g
- Essential Oil 0.5g

You can also make a bar version of this deodorant. Use 5g of the Candelilla Wax and 12.5g of the Coconut oil to make it harder and pour it into a muffin tin. Ta-dah! Your own natural deodorant bar.
